There are several passages in the Book of Mormon that describe a narrow path to eternal life. It’s not clear if this path is described as being strait or straight.

Straight can be defined as ‘without bend,” ‘heterosexual,” and ‘fairness.’ strait can be defined as ‘narrow, strict, or constricted.’ The original spelling of ‘straitjacket’ and ‘straitlaced’ is why ‘strait’ is the original one.
