A five-pointed star with even sides is also known as a pentacle. Many world religions and cultures, including the Freemasons, the Babylonians, and the Baha’i and Christian faiths, have adapted the symbolism of the pentagram.
The two are not the same and are often used in different ways. There are clear distinctions between the two, even though they are used the same way today.
